Week One.
So, the journey begins. Nine weeks. I've got this... really?
It was interesting to hear a more detailed version of the beginning of the Manaiakalani Trust. I'd always thought of the beginning of the trust as still being in the 'digital' age - I can't imagine trying to set such an enterprise up when classrooms only had one or two computers! (if they were lucky)
The idea of sorting my folders out and actually colour coding them is going to be great! However, I rather think it will be something that I do from now on - really do I have enough time to go through my existing stuff?
Sadly, I'm learning that I have to take my time (age?) when learning how to extend myself with the technology. Does anyone else have this sort of problem? Thankfully, sitting in a classroom and being aware of this can only help in the classroom. Crikey - how many times in class do I think... were you not listening? Happily, now perhaps I'll be able to empathise and ask "Am I going to fast?" Hey better still, put all the instructions on a rewindable video - hopefully future weeks learning might show me how to do that.
I'm enjoying the learning but seriously hope I can retain it all to use and share in our hub. I guess you have to use it often until it's embedded.

Kia ora Monica. I'm loving the honesty in your post. Definitely start using the new tips from now on and if (big if) you have time over the holidays you could start on your existing work. Learning certainly takes on a whole new perspective when we are the learners and I agree with your empathetic thoughts. Thanks for sharing both here and when I caught up with you in school, and I look forward to seeing you next week. Nicola
