And here we are again!!

Covid cut us short,,, but we're back on the journey of digital learning and I need it more than ever!!

Teaching online is a wonderful experience - I'm sure - but it's hard work when everything you do is part of your own learning! I want to take my kids learning beyond just the google meet and then sending them away to do the tasks I've set. So, I need to upskill and in a short time frame.

I've set my self the goal of teaching my kids at least two things from each DFI. This week it's going to be the voice typing for reading mileage. How good is that?

Next, it will be to show them google docs for creating using tables. Let's see if they can make a better job than me!

Clearly - my next step learning is to find out how to put my screenshot in here!

For another day...

  1. Hi Monica, thanks for coming back! I read through your first version of Day 1 post and then this one and I do hope that having a second lash at it has helped you feel more confident that 'you've got this!' As you say, you have been putting a lot into action over the pst weeks, and you know what you need to know more than you may have back in March.
Let us know how the Reading Mileage goes for you and your learners.

  2. Kia ora Monica,

I'm pleased that you have found some beneficial learning from the session. Your commitment to your learners is evident and it is great to see you reflecting on how you can improve learning experiences for them! If you would like support for attaching screenshots to blog posts, feel free to ask. There is a Tuhi Mai, Tuhi Atu Meet today (Wednesday) at 3:30pm that would be useful for you to attend. Looking forward to learning alongside you in this DFI Cohort.

  3. Hi Mon
Great that you have returned to the DFI. Believe it or not, by actually teaching online, you will be gaining more confidence to have a go with new things. I look forward to your future blogs sharing with us how you get on with teaching your class new tricks.
